Marconi Gold Soveriegn claimed Reserve Champion Buckskin, and Cardwell Park Orlando was Best Part Welsh Youngstock, Res Ch Palomino and Arabian Derivative at the Southern RPG Pony and Youngstock Classic held at Moss Vale on the weekend. Cardwell Park Houdini had a fantastic first National Capital Horse Show earning the title of Champion Palomino Gelding and Res Ch Part Welsh exhibit. Harry was also sashed Res Champ Yearling Palomino in the Open and the DA ring at the Southern Regional Dilutes Association show. Marconi Gold Soveriegn has been named Buckskin 2010/2011 HOTY Halter Mare/Filly and Marconi Gold Strike has been named Buckskin 2010/2011 HOTY Halter Stallion/Colt in the Dilutes Australia NSW and ACT Branch awards. We are very proud to accept these awards. The Shoalhaven All Breeds put on yet another fantastic show with over 130 competitors on a beautiful sunny day. Cardwell Park Houdini was awarded Champion Palomino, Champion Part Welsh and Res Champion Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt. At long last, a beautiful sunny day for the inaugural APSB show at Moss Vale. Marconi Gold Soveriegn excelled herself giving a flawless workout in her classes, winning the Champion Coloured Youngstock, Reserve Champ in the Welsh B Youngstock and 1st in her Arabian Derivative yearling class. Harry was very full of himself and didn't wish to trot, but still managed to come home with Champion Part Welsh Foal, Res Champion Coloured Youngstock and a win in his arabian derivative foal class. Ring 3 was pretty tough for the babies as the champion was 3 and U, but we were more than happy with the results on the day. We also met some lovely people - it was a great day out and looking forward to next year. Fabulous results for Cardwell Park Houdini at the NSW All Breeds Foal Show. The first foal from our resident sire and Sydney Royal Champion Marconi Gold Strike, we could not have been prouder. Harry was sashed Supreme Coloured Foal in a massive lineup of beautiful coloured foals. He then went on to win his Part Welsh class to mature over 13hh and was sashed Reserve Champion Part Welsh Colt to the Supreme Part Welsh foal. His final class was his Arabian Pony colt foal class which he won and went on to be sashed Reserve Champion to the eventual supreme winner again. He behaved beautifully, with impeccable manners and congratulations also to Steve for showing him off so professionally. We were over the moon with how the ponies worked and presented at this years Royal. With harness on one side, and showjumping on the other, they could both be forgiven for being a little antsy at times, but overall they behaved fantastically and did everything that was asked of them. Marconi Gold Strike was awarded Reserve Champion Buckskin Stallion/Colt to our delight, and Marconi Gold Soveriegn, our gorgeous yearling filly worked her way from fourth to second placing in a strong 3Yr and U Buckskin filly class. Thankyou to Genevieve Everingham for her last minute assistance, and a huge thanks to Lisa O'Neill, their breeder from Marconi Pony Stud in Victoria, for breeding such beautiful, good natured ponies. Great results at Goulburn Show. Delilah & Steve won the Best Presented Buckskin, Champion Buckskin Exhibit and Champion Arabian Derivative Mare/Filly. Harry was a delight to take out, winning his Palomino Colt U2yrs class as well as Res Champ Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt. Another beautiful day in the Southern Highlands, we took Delilah and Harry (our first foal from resident sire Marconi Gold Strike). Harry took everything in his stride, washing, plaiting, clipping, floating, tying to a float for the first time, and showing. What a superstar, trotted out like an old hand and made us both very very proud. Results, Champ Buckskin Exhibit for Delilah and Reserve Champion Palomino Exhibit for Harry. At 6 months old, we could not be happier. Marconi Gold Strike was named Grand Champion 2&3 year old exhibit of the show. We were over the moon with how he worked and behaved. Marconi Gold Soveriegn was named Champion Open Buckskin Yearling any sex. Marconi Gold Strike was sashed Champion Buckskin Stallion/Colt, Marconi Gold Soveriegn was placed 1st dual registered buckskin/arabian in a strong lineup, and Steve and Delilah were Reserve Champions in the amateur handlers. Fantastic day out. NSW All Welsh Show - Oct 2010 What a day we had. Thunderstorms and hot and muggy, we were delighted that Marconi Gold Soveriegn placed second in a hotly contested yearling filly class (ten entries) and that Marconi Gold Strike placed second in his 3 year colt class. We had a day of seconds taking out 2nd in the Progeny group. Thanks Daniel Harvey for lending a helping hand. SABS APSB Feature Show - 29/8/10 Marconi Gold Soveriegn was sashed Supreme Welsh B Exhibit and Res Ch Buckskin and Arabian Deriv Mare/Filly. Marconi Gold Strike was Supreme Stallion/Colt, Champion Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt and Champion Welsh B Stallion/Colt as well as 1st buckskin stallion/colt. The pair also won the Open owners group Dams progeny. Weather was beautiful, show ran like clockwork, it was a great day. APSB 4th Annual Show - 22/8/10 Marconi Gold Strike was sashed Best Presented Buckskin, Champion Buckskin Exhibit and Reserve Champion Welsh B Colt. In only his second outing in over a year, he behaved like the true gentleman that he is. |
